Douglass Park
This is a very nice park--a large flat grassy area, hilly on two sides and completely fenced in except at the small entrypoint. In good weather, it rates 5 bones. However, in and for DAYS after a rain, this place is VERY muddy.

Bernal Heights Dog Park
As long as your pooch doesn't need a fenced in area, there is no better off-leash park in the city. Bernal is big and hilly--grassy in the winter and spring, dry the rest of the year. There are lots of walking/hiking paths up and down around the hill. The park is a favorite with dog walkers, so there are almost always dogs around. After a rain, the ground tends to dry very quickly, so the park is rarely muddy, as so many others are.
