Fort Funston
This is the first dog park that Ella ever visited and has been the best so far of her 5 years! The place is MASSIVE! It is far big enough even for the most timid dog to feel comfortable, due to the huge "space cushion" you are able to have there. It is literally two levels and one includes the beach! Ella particularly loooves the water, so we have to visit the lower level every trip. There are ample trash cans for clean up, water bowls to quench the doggies thirsts, plenty of pick-and-choose trails...there isn't just one way to walk through this place. It is literally trails upon trails and then has all the intrigue of the abandon military base with the cement bunker tunnels! This place is also very relaxing with a stunning view of the ocean.
If you live within an hour or so of this park...it is an absolute must see, hands down!
