Bloodhound
Bloodhound is a great bar on its own and is even better because you can bring dogs! They have a nice wide bar layout (so you can keep your dog from being too underfoot) and generally have a water dish near the end of the bar (near the pool table). I try to stick to weeknights, since it can get a little too crowded for a doggy when they're packed. The drink menu is stellar and my dog likes people watching here.

Every Dog Has Its Day Care
This is my favorite doggy daycare in the Bay Area! I've been scared off by others. You know, the ones with the cramped quarters, incessantly barking dogs, and weird smell? You'll find none of that here. I started bringing my dog here as a puppy and even though we don't go that much anymore, I still highly recommend them for both daycare and boarding. Their yard is one of the very best, with special surfaces for doggy feet (and faux grass that is sanitary), a doggy fountain, a jungle gym for climbing and a sun roof so they can play "outside" even in bad weather.
They are a great help when you're housebreaking your dog or training because they use positive reinforcement all day and teach proper socialization and interaction.
