Ocean Beach
If you park at the lots near the zoo, it's a little weird getting down the cliff/dune. just slide down. & then there are at least 4 or so miles of beach, all the way south to San Mateo Cty. check the tides before you go. Winter sleeper waves have soaked unaware walkers.

Corona Heights Park
VIEWS!!!!!!!!!!!!! parking is a nightmare though. Park at Kite hill for a nice 2 park walk, 3 including Buena Vista

the trail at the west end of the park, between the windmills. & the munchies at the beach Chalet.

Kite Hill Park
Nice walk to the top w/ jaw dropping views, beautiful springtime bloom. close to the Seward St. slide, a must!!!!!!!!!!

John Mclaren Park
We just moved to "the best neighborhood you've never heard of", Portola, in Febuary. McLaren park is great!!!!! it's literally our front yard. lotsa of trails. leash your dog, though, if you see kids. the parents here are veryvery protective. Upper resevoir for dogs to swim in, Lots of gophers to hunt.
