Okanagan Lake Dog Park
The only reason this tiny area gets two bones (over the one I almost gave it) is that in the week we were in the area, this was the *only* beach dogs were allowed with or without a leash. Kept hearing rumors of other dog-friendly places but never found them.

Quality Inn and Suites
We stayed in this hotel during a long road trip. It was exactly what we were expecting: decently comfortable bed, amazing water pressure in the shower, and the customary accouterments of a mid-level hotel. The woman in reception even had cookies for Murphy!
The only downside isn't with the hotel, but the town itself has an odor. After a day of driving, we didn't care.

Chabot Veterinary Clinic
I've never met with Dr. Harvey but the other two vets in the practice are amazing. We had a scary few days with my dog and they diagnosed and fixed it incredibly fast. She now requires daily medication and monthly injections and they work with me to keep her condition controlled. The staff (both front, back, and doctors) is very accommodating and friendly.

Club K9
The tail starts thumping as soon as we make the turn onto Crow Canyon. I've been impressed with both their day care and overnight services.

Earl Warren Park
Park itself is fine. Roomier and more trees than some small parks. Can get very muddy during rainy season and one side is closed.
Park regulars can be unwelcoming to new visitors. The human drama can be discouraging.

Shadow Cliffs Recreation Area
The arroyo area allows off leash dogs to swim and run along the shore. Dogs share the area with people fishing so be careful they don't get hurt.

Oyster Bay Regional Shoreline
With only one water fountain and a pit toilet, I was torn between giving 3 and 4 stars. This park's potential helped me decide. This off leash park has a lot of trails and rocky access to water. There is evidence of improvements to the park so with time, this could be a really great place to bring your dog. Right now, the park's trails, water, and smells make a visit worth it.

Wildcat Canyon Regional Park
Wildcat Canyon is always an enjoyable visit. There are countless trails you and your dog can explore. It isn't usually crowded so you won't run into many people. Cows graze in the park year round so be prepared to call or leash your dog if you come across the bovine residents.

Drigon Dog Park
The best thing about Drigon is the agility equipment! Even dogs without formal agility training can run up A-frames, through tunnels, and jump over hurdles. The park can get crowded at peak times-especially when the lawn area is closed for maintenance. There's a second fenced area that has a couple of benches as is a decent place for dogs to play if the main park is especially crowded.

Garin & Dry Creek Pioneer Regional Parks
I prefer the Dry Creek entrance to Garin (that side also has free parking). It is mostly leash free on that side (there are quite a few cows though as well as the occasional horse so be prepared to leash your dog if necessary). This side has rolling hills and seemingly endless trails. From the entrance, on cold days, I tend to turn right onto the gravel path. Days that are warmer, I head down the hill on the right. The trail on the lower side is shadier.
There is a porta potty at the entrance and a water fountain but nothing inside the park. Dogs are not allowed in the garden area next to the trails.

Albany Bulb
This is one of my favorite places to take Murphy when I'm in the area. Not only are there squirrels to chase, dogs to play with, and a beach to run and swim...there's also always changing art for the people to look at and enjoy. This location is truly unique.
There is one porta potty at the entrance and no water for humans or dogs so be sure to have some on hand.

George
Store is full of fun dog boutique type merchandise along with some of the higher quality foods. There is a water bowl at the door and dogs are usually offered a treat when they come in.

Robert Sibley Volcanic Regional Preserve
I have been here once and it was a great place to hike. I was there in the midst of a heat wave and as we rounded a hill, we could see the fog starting to roll in. It made the rest of the hike a lot more enjoyable.
The park has a few different loops you can explore. The park is park of the EBRPD and standard dog rules apply: leash in parking lots and developed areas.

South Beach Cafe
This was my 2nd time eating here and the first with my dog. Food is decent but there was too much dressing on my salad. The Bruschetta was nice and garlicky. When I was here a number of years ago, the Caprese sandwich was very good.
The previous comment about lack of interest and dog love is something I noticed as well.
7/15 3:34pm
Cesar Chavez Park
The park is very nice and frequently uncrowded. The leash/unleash areas are difficult to determine. The walk into the dog area is longer than most parks in the area. The first time I went I unleashed too soon (luckily the park employee that informed me didn't ticket me).

Point Isabel Dog Park
A lot of room to roam with your dog. It can get crowded on weekends so I like to go during the week and avoid the crowds. There's a small cafe and dog washing/dog supply store near the entrance.

Cioppino's
Ciopinno and Chicken Risotto were both great. Ciopinno was pricey but enough for 2 meals. Pup was given water when we sat down.
We'd go back if given the chance.

Liverpool Lil's
We happened upon this restaurant when in the area with my parents. The people were friendly and welcomed our dog (even gave her a water bowl). We ordered off the brunch menu and everyone thought the food was great!
We have not been in the area since so have not had a chance to return. However, if we were given the opportunity, we would eat there again.
