Crissy Field
Romo loves this park/beach. Nice folks, although it gets crowded on warm weekends. Do keep your dog out of the protected areas, they are trying to shelter a number of birds and small animals. All of which Romo thinks are food!

Lafayette Park
Great place to meet friends with dogs, new an old. Most hang out just west of the top of the hill. Water for people and pooches. Mello vibe.

Buena Vista Park
Buena Vista is a great park in large measure because during the week-days dog walkers are traversing its trails with packs of wonderfully friendly dogs. We've walked our German Shepherd, Romo, there and he greets and mixes with the packs easily. This changes the entire tenor of the park, as the dog walkers actually know how to lead a pack - unlike almost all dog owners. As a result, the dogs are happy and well mannered when with the dog walker, even though they probably aren't when with their owner.
The hilly nature of the park and dense forest give it a out-in-the-wild feeling that our pooch adores.

Nob Hill Grille
Great brunch and dinner place. Ask for the Huevos Rancheros, it's no on the menu but they'll make it - to die for. Only one table for folks with dogs outside, but if more folks ask they might add on. The people are really friendly and the place is good enough to generate quite a line on a Saturday and Sunday morning.

Nob Hill Cafe
GREAT PIZZA! The rest of the menu is good too. The folks are really REALLY dog friendly and don't mind stepping over your pooch to serve you. Keep awake as there is a lot of dog traffic on the sidewalk and some dogs aren't as well mannered as they should be.

Huntington Park
This is one of the best parks for "City Dogs" around. There aren't big lawns, and it isn't really safe for the dogs to be off-leash (too many cars), but there are always a gang of friendly dogs around to play with. Every size is represented, but there is definitely a bigger population of the smaller pooches.
Last year we had a dog badly injured when it chased its ball into California St. so do be careful, the streets all around are busy.
The fountain in the middle of the park is wonderful, and don't miss the Peet's Coffee that is hidden underneath the cathedral for those cold winter days.

Wags Pet Wash & Awesome Accessories
Great friendly folks. They dog-sit days and over-night. Did a nice job of washing our German Shepherd. The best endorsement is the gang of happy dogs hanging out inside. Lots of wags and smiles all around!

Starbucks Coffee
Lots of four footed foot traffic. Nice spot for a cup in the morning sun.

My fav for coffee, nice for dogs with places to tie 'em as well as underfoot at the tables. Lots of doggies!

The Crepe House
Good crepes, nice folks. I used to eat there all the time. Plenty of four footed foot traffic, be aware.

The Bell Tower
These folks own a dog!! Lovely old bull dog, complete with a dog bed to lay on outside. He is very friendly and good with our dog. Food is pretty good, nice crwd on weekends.
