The Java House
Owned by a nice Greek family with a lot of personality. Located right next to the South Beach Park and AT&T Park, this is a great place to bring the pups for an afternoon in the sun. Pups join playgroups while their mommy's and daddy's enjoy breakfast or lunch at The Java House. They have game day specials. The breakfast sandwich is good and so is the classic breakfast. It is a weekend morning favorite for our family!

South Beach Park
This is a great park where you will always run into pups! It is right next to Java Hut so you can grab a cup of coffee and read the paper or make friends with the locals. The park is right by the Marina and some of the best weather in the city!

Westin St. Francis
This is a great hotel with lots of old charm. They hosted the SPCA Bark and Whine kickoff and it was very successful. The guests enjoyed seeing all the pups throughout the hotel and they are very accommodating. I wouldn't have thought that such a well-kept, nice hotel would be so dog friendly! I love it!

This place has great bags that are durable. They were started in SF and have made their way around the country. Take your pooch in and do some shopping--very SF!

Sens Restaurant
This restaurant has just been redone and they did a great job. They have a covered patio with sofas and lounge chairs. The other patio area is uncovered with tables. The staff is really friendly and helpful. The mini lamb burgers are delicious!
I didn't have the pup with me when I went so I'm not sure where they are allowed. I'll update my post once I have more info!

The outdoor tables make you feel like you are in Italy! The food is decent, and the ambiance is the best part. Wait staff is friendly and helpful.

Niketown San Francisco
Make sure your pooch doesn't mind the escalator in this store... great selection of Nike goods on several floors. It gets a bit crowded so make sure your pup is all set with lots of people...

Lulu is more expensive that Lucy and right across the street. They have a broader selection and geared more toward "active" than "lounge" wear. They are happy to have you and your pooch in there to shop!

Lucy has great comfy clothes for yoga, jogging, or just relaxing around the house. They have lots of sales so keep a look out for some bargains. They are happy to have you and your pooch look around.

A little on the pricey side, but you can find what you need! Great for skis, biking, exercise, etc. Parking is available but spots are on the small side. No need to leave your pup in the car!

Golden Gate Park
A beautiful place to spend a sunny afternoon. Lots of different places to discover in the park. I love the gardens near the Conservatory of Flowers and walking around by the Academy of Sciences and the Japanese Tea Gardens.

Golden Gate Bridge
The most notorious SF landmark! Fantastic views of the city and a great walk out above the water. It is only about a mile all the way across so make a round trip on a beautiful day. Your pooch will love the brisk walk--just don't look down!

DSW Shoe Warehouse
What more could a girl ask for--shoes and pups in the same place?? They have great deals on designer shoes, and they keep going on sale until they are all gone, so try to time it right!

Delancey Street Restaurant
The food here is pretty inexpensive and good. Delancey Street is a great organization that gives people a second chance at coming back into the community. Their good-hearted nature shows through in the amazing service they provide--hard-workers at their best! The outside patio is nice to relax with your pooch.

Gorgeous views of the city... Go on and take the stairs up from the bottom of the hill--great exercise! Parking isn't great.

Asqew Grill
A couple of tables for outdoor seating and the food is pretty good. I like the BBQ chicken skewer and the spinach salad. You have to tie the pups up outside and go in to order. Everything is made to order so it takes a little extra time.

Petco
My dog isn't a huge fan of this place because I left him here to be groomed a few times. The new dog likes all the toys and how big the store is... they have everything, but are more expensive than Pet Club across the bridge. They do grooming and have a large variety of food and toys.

21st Amendment Brewery
I give it a 2 for dog friendliness, but I'd give it a 4 for food and atomosphere alone. They only have outdoor seating on game days and it's quite crowded. Good beers and pub food...

Taylor's Refresher
This is such a popular place, and I'm not sure of the official pet policy but I've been there at least a dozen times and never had a problem. I just tie the pups up outside at the tables along the Embarcadero side and keep them next to me. The Miss Kentucky is my favorite sandwich and don't forget the Sweet Potato Fries! Yum!

Piccino Coffee & Espresso
This is a nice place to grab a thin crust pizza and glass of wine. The pups can chill with you in the shade or the tables in the sun. They serve good blue bottle coffee so grab a book and come hang out.

They just opened up the patio on the Embarcadero side so I imagine they wouldn't mind if you tied your pup on outside of the fence but right next to you.

This is such a great park for everything from dogs, to picnics, to people watching. Lots of room for fetch and fido is sure to meet lots of new friends.

Mission Creek Dog Park
It is nice to have this park in our neighborhood, and there is a good number of dogs and people there. It's a little of the beaten path, but worth the walk through the nice Mission Creek Park. There is a great path along the channel so do the whole loop before and after your stop for fetch at the fenced in dog park!

This is a nice little cafe with great food (I like pizza the best). There are a few tables outside to enjoy some food with your pup.

Great beach with lots of room to play. Be careful not to accidentally head into the "no dog zone" because they will come get ya... Can get a little windy so be sure to layer!

The Park Chalet is a great place to take your pup after some beach play on Ocean Beach. They have great food, live music, and lots of room on the grass and in the Adirondack chairs...

Great place to grab a beer and enjoy the bay. The burgers on the sourdough rolls are great! Lots of place for pooches out back and lots of parking (not on game day).

Baker Beach
My pups love this beach. Parking isn't too bad in the neighborhood off Lake. Lots of places for the pups to run free and enjoy the water and the sand.

San Francisco SPCA
I am a huge fan and supporter of the SF/SPCA! All of the people on staff are amazing and wonderful people. The vet hospital is still fairly new, but they are working out the kinks (ie. I waited in the hospital room for over an hour before the doctor remembered I was there). Still a great cause, and I am very thankful to have my first dog from there. They are saving dogs lives everyday and they are a wonderful place to be involved with.

San Francisco Giants Baseball
We go to the Dog Days of Summer every year and the pooches LOVE it! We had an amazing time (although I prefer the daytime event)! Don't forget to go early and walk around the field. They are a little strict on keeping the line moving, but try to stop and sneak as many pics as possible. Amazing opportunity!

Philz Coffee
They used to let dogs inside, but OSHA came in and cracked down on that. Now dogs allowed outside. They've added more chairs outside for you and your pooch to sit. The coffee is delicious and the staff is very friendly.

The dogs get sooo excited when we pull into the parking lot at Crissy Field. It is their favorite spot in the city. Lots of dogs to play with and a great jogging path to the bridge.

Specialty's Cafe & Bakery
The best sandwiches in the city! Definitely order online and you barely have to walk in--it is waiting for you by the door! The waterside is definitely the place to munch on your lunch with your pup. And don't forget the black and white cookie!

I love that Safeway let's you bring your dog to the store to do some shopping. I don't take them for big shopping trips but its easy to just run in a grab a few things when you have your pup.

The chicken and waffles are great! Actually the chicken is the best--the waffles weren't my fave. Such a great neighborhood find! Grab some blue bottle coffee next door while you are at it!

Blush Organic Frozen Yogurt
I love this new frozen yogurt place in our neighborhood! Tastes delish (kinda sour but so good with the oreo bits)! Pretty low-cal and good to sit outside (although, I prefer to bring my pooch to the water a block away instead of busy King Street)...

Gorgeous place for the pups to roam and play on the beach. My pooches get a little scared of the occasional horse and the entrance/exit is a little steep, but well worth it! Make a picnic and spend the day!

This is one of my favorite places to have a nice brunch with my pooches! The wait staff is so friendly and will set up a table if they don't have any outside. They are dog lovers and very friendly. The food is FANTASTIC! Very creative dishes that are unique and delicious! (No brunch on Saturdays because of farmers market).

Alta Plaza Park
Lots of dogs to play with at the Alta Plaza Park. Parking is somewhat difficult and the big hill and stairs can be a challenge for some. The grassy area at the top of the hill is very picturesque and looks out over the city. Feel free to join the other pooches off leash.
