Edward Street Annex
I've giving this park 1 bone because it's not yet 5 bone rating level. As of 7/21/10, it's not really off leash to dogs. SF Park and Rec have not officially sanctioned this area as off leash. A petition will be available for neighboring dog owners at Edward Annex to sign to get SF Rec and Park to make this officially off leash for dogs. To date, the adjacent building/neighbors are calling the police on all dog owners using Edward Annex (just recently, myself including). They are saying it's NOT an off leash park.
We have to change this fast! I will be helping Edward Annex become off leash by obtaining signatures from local dog owners which will be forwarded to SF Rec & Park. Funds for a low-height fence within Edward Annex will need to be obtained. The main issue is that the existing restrooms have to accessible to adults and children.
For now the "Rules", per SF Police are: All dogs have to be on leash and the front gate open to all people wanting to use the restrooms. If dogs are found off leash, a ticket will be issued to the dog owner or dog walker for $75+!!

SF Muni
I'm not for muzzling dogs but do like that you can bring your dog on the bus. Unfortnately, lots of people are afraid of dogs and don't like them. I guess one reason for the muzzle--if someone steps on their tail -- it can't bite the person.

Flipper's, A Gourmet Hamburger Place
I love this place! I recommend this place to all my petcare k9 clients since we are located only a few blocks from Flippers!

Jefferson Square Park
Officiated in 2003 with S.F. Park and Recreation, the WEST-side of Jefferson Square Dog Play Area is the best-kept dog park secret in San Francisco! Neighborhood dogs circulate throughout the park which is a good idea to keep them from getting into fights. Bad dogs are not tolerated (period)! There is plenty of room for your dog to fetch a ball or frizzbee! ^..^~
New trash receptacles, poop bag boxes(no bags -- recycled plastic bags only), paved concrete pathways, and wood benches are installed throughout the park. The grounds are nice and green and kept in fairly good condition even though Rec & Park have cut their staff.
Leashes are required on the EAST-side of the park even though some dog owners disregard this rule. Unfortunately, there are some homeless still living on the EAST-side.
Even so, this DPA is great just for the fact that it's not fenced and it doesn't get a ton of dogs like Alamo Square!
