Albany Bulb

A hidden treasure and only one exit further South than Pt Isabel. You would not know this place was here unless you take the roads less traveled. It starts off as nice park with a beach area where lots of dogs play. If your dogs loves the water this will be a treat. At low tide, it's not as muddy as Pt Isabel. There are lots of trails and eventually beautiful views of the bay and public art. As a kid, I played here when it was a landfill. It's great to see the regulars enjoying it. Once you go, you too, will become a regular. Just Google ALBANY BULB and you can get directions and lots of pictures

Pinole Dog Park

Turn at the street right by the Fire Station and go to end of road. There is a nice picnic area (Dogs ON-LEASH Here)and two separate fenced areas for the dogs to play. One for small dogs, the other for large dogs. Parking is easy and restrooms are right there. The area for small dogs has a lot of grass and the one for large dogs tends to get muddy after the rain so bring old towels etc to clean your companion. The ground in the larger fenced area is also uneven and sometimes difficult to walk on. Someone has donated lots of plastic chairs so you can sit down while your companion plays with others that are visiting. This seems to be a park where locals tend to gather socially as well. Roxie and I received a nice welcome on our first visit. If you are close, you should definitely give it a try. Again, I do stay away from it in the rainy season. Just too muddy

Pet Food Express

Close to the Petsmart but not as big with narrow aisles. Dogs can go inside but be sure they are on leash and like cats as there are usually one or two roaming around.

Petsmart

Like almost all the other Petsmarts, Dogs allowed inside. Roxie likes it as there's always those great smells and places to sniff. Outside parking area has some grass areas with the Doggie Cleanup bags available. The check-out people usually give Roxie a Biscuit each time we go.

Point Pinole

The Reviewer below this one says OFF-Leash trails are there but every sign I saw states dog must be on leash. The trails (Paved and non-paved) are both also used by people on horses and bicycles and is probably why off-leash is not encouraged. Lots of picnic places in one large park area where families go. I like it as there are many many trails for you and your companion to walk and yes, if you look behind you and ion front of you , you probably can let them off leash but this is primarily a NON_dog park and more of a hikers park. Near the beach there are some Marsh areas that are protected and dogs cannot go there. A nice place to go with many different trails and great views of Mt Tam and San Pablo Bay.

Point Isabel Dog Park

Once you take your Dog here, there is NO comparison. The largest and best OFF-LEASH Park in the state. Crowded on the weekends with lots of canine companions to play with. The water dogs all swim in the channel (Just make sure you hit it at high tide or it's quite muddy). Very convenient if you like to hike as it's also right next to the Bay Trail..
