We built Fido Factor to make it easy for dog owners to find dog friendly locations in a convenient, safe, and responsible manner. We understand there is personal information you do not want shared with other Fido Factor users and participating third parties. Your Privacy is very important to us and we understand that the user experience starts with feeling secure. To help you understand how your privacy is protected we provide an explanation of how information is collected, used and disclosed with respect to our service offerings.

Our Organization

Appetyte LLC ("Appetyte", "we" or "us") operates the Fido Factor Service, fidofactor.com, Fido Factor for iPhone and m.fidofactor.com. Please read through policy in entirety so you can make an informed decision about using Fido Factor. By using Fido Factor, you represent that you are 13 years old or older and consent to the privacy practices described in this policy. We reserve the right to change this privacy policy at any time and will alert you of any changes that have been made by indicating the date the policy was last updated. The new policy regulations will be effective as soon as they are posted. Please check this page frequently to ensure that you are aware of any changes. Your use of the Fido Factor Service following the posting of such changes or revised provisions shall constitute your consent to any changes in our privacy practices, and you expressly waive any right to notice of such changes.

What information do we collect?

We collect information when you register with Fido Factor or sign up to receive email notifications about our services. When registering with Fido Factor, as appropriate, you will be asked to enter a user name, provide an email address and upload a profile picture. You may, however, visit our site anonymously.

Do we disclose any information to outside parties?

We do not sell, trade, or otherwise transfer to outside parties your personally identifiable information. Fido Factor does anonymously analyze visitors' use of Fido Factor by tracking information pertaining to page views, traffic patterns, search terms, and click through. We use this information to improve our services. We also share this anonymous information with in aggregate form with our advertisers and business partners. We do not under any circumstance share information with third parties that can identify individual users. We may also release your information when we believe release is appropriate to comply with the law, enforce our site policies, or protect ours or others rights, property, or safety. However, non-personally identifiable visitor information may be provided.

Third Party Web Sites

Fido Factor may include links to the Web sites of other companies and/or individuals. These third party Web sites may collect personal information about users on those Web sites, and the Fido Factor privacy policy does not extend to these external Web sites and third parties. This is the case even if the third party Web site, company or individual has an affiliation with Fido Factor. Please refer directly to these third parties and Web sites regarding their privacy policies.

Cookies

"Cookies" are small pieces of information that are stored by your browser on your computer's hard drive. Cookies enable our system to recognize your computer, so that we can provide you with personalized information and features. Advertisements on Fido Factor may use a third-party ad server to display ads. These ads may contain cookies. The ad server receives these cookies, and Fido Factor does not have access to them. You can set your browser to warn you before accepting cookies or to block cookies. If you block cookies, you may not be able to use certain site features or functions.

Security

Fido Factor uses commercially reasonable security to protect the loss, misuse, and alteration of the information under our control. However, Fido Factor cannot guarantee the protection of information against interception, misappropriation, misuse, or alteration or that your information may not be disclosed or accessed by accidental circumstances or by the unauthorized acts of others. You should be aware that we have no control over the security of other this party sites you may visit, interact with, or from which you buy products or services.

California Online Privacy Protection Act Compliance

Because we value your privacy we have taken the necessary precautions to be in compliance with the California Online Privacy Protection Act, all users of our site may make changes to their information at anytime by logging into their Fido Factor account and going to the 'Edit Profile' page.

Childrens Online Privacy Protection Act Compliance

We are in compliance with the requirements of COPPA (Childrens Online Privacy Protection Act), we do not collect any information from anyone under 13 years of age. Fido Factor services are all directed to people who are at least 13 years old or older.
