Just over the bridge from San Francisco, this is a great beach to take your dog out to frolic. The beach is surrounded by steep hills on both ends and a marshy area behind so there is little chance your pooch will escape. Dogs are allowed off leach under voice control, just don't let them disturb the wildlife.
After you're done enjoying the beach do some hiking on the surrounding trails. You can't beat the views from on the hills, great for locals and tourists alike.
