The folks at K-9 are truly dog lovers who care. Your dog can stay, often with one of the team at their home. If anything the facility could use a strong draft of fresh air all day, something I believe they are looking at. Top notch dog care and play for you pooch in SOMA

Jake looooves coming here to play with all of his friends. As soon as we pull up to the street he is looking for a way out of the car. He usually runs up the stairs and doesn't look back. By the time we come pick him up, his tongue is hanging out and he sleeps hard the whole next day. It's good to be a dog! Aunt Lois, Cherie, Marc,& Lucy take really great care of our pup & Ricky's awesome too though he's with the big pooches downstairs.

Piper loves K9. She comes home from her days there tired, but happy. Many weekends when we're out in the neighborhood she recognizes her playmates from K9 and that is just a big plus.

The staff is great and Marc (owner) is very knowledgeable and stays abreast of the latest in dog training, products, behaviors, etc.

Piper has stayed overnight numerous times and she likes it so much that when I drop her off, she doesn't give me a second glance.

I highly recommend K9 and Piper gives it major wags!

I have only used this place once for daycare, I found it to be set up nicely, and the staff was very knowledgeable. My pup however wasnt happy being left someplace new. I was told she had some seperation anxiety and barked alot of the day. This was soon after we got her, so now that some time has gone by maybe that would be different.

I love how close and convienient they are.

We just picked up Bear from K9 Playtime after he spent the long weekend there. K9 was absolutely fantastic. They are a cageless boarding house that separates the dogs into two large rooms based on their size. The rooms are very spacious and have little areas in them that are built to look like the outside with fake grass, rocks and fire hydrants. It’s a little cheesy, but it helps with house breaking and it allows for all the pee to drain right out instead of dogs just peeing everywhere on the floor.

The staff (Ricky) was great with Bear over the weekend and they even put in time helping us train our puppy. They took the training and commands that we had already been working on and added to them. But the best part is they told us what they worked on and how they were training him with the new commands. That way we are all on the same page and Bear doesn’t get confused. They also go the extra mile when you board there by having a member of the staff sleep over with the dogs so they are always taken care of.

They are bit expensive though, at $85/day ($40 per day + $45 per night).

We are 100% satisfied and highly recommend them for boarding, and we know bear is too since he has been sleeping since we got him home. We will be heading back there for boarding and we are now considering taking Bear there for day care during the week.

Captain LOVES K9! The staff are ALL super friendly, but beyond that they know what they are doing and have training experience.

I feel very comfortable taking Captain to k9. I really think they do a good job with taking on new dogs, with the interview process and introduction to the pack. I also really appreciate the doggie report cards we get, that let me know what Captain was up to all day, who he played with, and whether or not he napped or ate food. The trainer is always in the room with the dogs exercising, training, and playing with them, and the trainer to dog ratio seems good. Captain is pooped after a day at K9.

We have not used their overnight services, only day care. They are super flexible with hours (any time 7am-7pm) and have 6 hour half day options that are super useful and very affordable.

My only minor complaint is that while the space is large and they have 2 separate floors (small dogs and puppies upstairs, big dogs downstairs), I think the ventilation could be better. Kind of smells like dog pee, but then I guess what do you expect, right? The dogs are inside all day (unless you opt for one of their walk options), but they do have little fuex grass areas.

Overall good place with friendly pack and trainers.
