Coffee and dogs, what more could you want. I stop by this place on my way to work and there are always tons of dogs outside. Ask for a treat for your pooch and give him a drink from the water bowl while you grab your morning coffee fix.
If your dog isn't super dog friendly use caution as stopping by Spike's can be like going to a dog park.
All and all a great local spot to kick back, read the paper and hang with the pup.

One of the best dog spots in the city. At any time you can find 5-10 dogs hanging out front. The coffee is good and they always have a great pastry selection.
Not a ton of dog friendly seating though so you might end up standing while you drink your coffee if it's busy.
Always have a dog bowl and dog treats on hand.

Our dog (Cher) loves this place and all the dog-friendly (translation from Collie into English: treat-giving) people who go there. There is water (ask at the counter if the dog bowl is empty) for a thirsty pet after a long walk, too.

Hard not to like this place if you're a dog owner and a coffee fan. The front area of Spikes literally turns into a mini dog park during prime caffiene hours.
Get in tight with the locals and their dogs and you'll never have to look anywhere else for doggie social time.
Knocked off one bone cause they're aren't that many outdoor tables.

Great hangout for pooches and their guardians. Nice pre/post stop for dog park at Collingswood. This is Photo former shop dog of Castro Photo now retired in Noe Valley
