Off leash permitted. Bicycles and horses frequent here so make sure you bring a leash if your dog is not socialized to these things. There is a bathroom and water located at the redwood bowl.

I don't know who decided to write this one up as on-leash only, as it certainly is not. I regularly run my dogs here, off leash, from the moment we get past the leashed parking lot area. In fact, I only know of one trail that is on-leash restricted. We have 3-4 regular trails we take. There are mountain bikers here too, but trails are generly wide enough that this is not a problem. My two girls love to run free here, exploring the hills and wooded areas that run alongside the trials. The parking lot is often full, but I can always find a space on skyline or up the side road, to the left of the main entrance. Even with a full lot, the park is large enough that I have never seen it overly crowded.

I have been here once and it was a great place to hike. I was there in the midst of a heat wave and as we rounded a hill, we could see the fog starting to roll in. It made the rest of the hike a lot more enjoyable.

The park has a few different loops you can explore. The park is park of the EBRPD and standard dog rules apply: leash in parking lots and developed areas.
