A great quiet little park with alot of good smells going on for a curious mutt.
This park is on McCovey cove and has a lot of rocks along the shore that my pup loves to travers and tries to go after ducks in the water or mice in the rocks.
There is a long slender grassy area that is great for playing fetch and another area that surrounds a mini baseball diamond built for t-ball. My dog loves this park and has even had the odd encounter with a sea lion near the waters edge!
The homeless use this park regularly, but I have never had a problem with them.

This an ok spot to walk your dog if you live in the neighborhood and need to mix things up a bit. It has a nice view of the ball park but can get really windy. Captain and I make it one of the stops on our walk around the hood rather than an actual destination. FYI, the drawbridge over Mission Creek is pretty loud so your dog might get a bit scared on the trip here.
If you've got kids there is a great t-ball park here that I've never seen anyone use.
Also, you probably want to avoid this park around baseball game times.

This is a narrow strip of grass but ample length for running back and forth and throwing a ball for your dog. There is also a small lawn near a mini-baseball field at the end of the park. No fences here, although the lawn is somewhat separated from the road by sidewalk on either side as well as a bit of elevation on one side that separates from the road. There is also not much traffic in the area (unless it's a game day or morning rush-hour), which makes it a good place to practice off-leash recalls. Watch out for trash after game days. There is no running water. It tends to be fairly windy here, though there are nice views of the bay, sailboats, and ballpark.
