Agreed- not really dog friendly. There is somewhere to tie up the dog and some water bowls, but the counter for ordering is too far inside to be able to watch your dog as you order, so I'm not comfortable leaving him outside alone while I go in. It is on a fairly quiet street though. The outdoor patio should really allow dogs, that would bump this place up to 3 or 4!

Terrific place to have in the neighborhood. A good selection of light breakfast and lunch items, pastries, ICE CREAM, smoothies, coffee, wine, beer. There's a small bookstore with quite a good collection of books and magazines, a courtyard for sitting outside on nice days, and plenty of comfy seating indoors to read, play cards, surf the web, and chat. Sookie pulls me here in the morning so that she can get some sausage or deli meat treats from one of the employees - who LOVES dogs. Water bowls are always outside for thirsty dogs that pass by. Dogs are not allowed in the cafe or in the courtyard, but they'll set up a couple of tables and chairs on the sidewalk so that people can sit with their fur children when the weather's nice.

The place itself is very good. The foods are good and inexpensive. Too bad they won't allow you to bring your dogs in the patio. It would've been the perfect place otherwise.

This cafe is really dog friendly. Aubria, (she runs the bookstore), will come out and give the dogs a treat, she has quite a following among dogs. Upon request she will set up a table outside on the sidewalk so you can dine with your dog.

I like this little place and would come here often if they allowed dogs. I would never leave them tied up in front, which is the only option if you are with your dogs. The only dog allowed in the women that runs the place. too bad, because i know a lot more people would come in with their pups...i mean the back patio screams...please bring your puppies!

Not dog friendly at all. A hitching post and a water bowl out front, and no dogs allowed in the gigantic garden? That's why I never spend any money here.

Part of the Delancey Street foundation, this cafe is a great place for breakfast or lunch, plenty of outdoor seating. If your just picking up something togo, there are 2 tie ups for the many dogs that visit. A couple of the employees do really spoil the familiar dogs with lunchmeat and other treats. A small bookstore inside and wifi is available.

You have to take the dog thru the place if you want to eat outdoors with your pet.
