Great open grassy area and a great alternative to fort funston on a windy day, water bowl area could be nicer and there could be more benches but overall great park all around for any dog to run to it's hearts content!

I really like this park- the huge trees, trails through the woods, and big open fields all in one big spacious park make it a fun new place to go. We weren't aware of the pond at the end of the park and were a little unprepared when our dog fell in (he was stalking the ducks)- so just try and avoid that and you'll be all good. Plenty of space to run, fetch, and play. The grounds are well kept and there are many water fountains around.

We spent the day Sunday at Pine Lake Park and Stern Grove. Pink Lake Park features a large off leash dog area, water fountains, and a pavilion for owners to sit under.
We parked on Wawona and walked from the Stern Grove off leash area, past the amphitheater and down to the lake. It was a sunny Sunday and there were dozens of dogs for Captain to play with.
There is a parking lot off of Sloan right next to the off leash area or you can street park on Wawona and explore the park a bit.
This park is definitely worth checking out. They have a concert series at Stern Grove in the summer so you probably want to avoid the park then or expect difficulty parking.
