I have taken my dogs to the small dog run as pups and the large dog run as adults (mostly b/c it's close to home). Generally speaking, the owners on both sides are very cliquey, and very opinionated, too! There are, of course, some lovely people with wonderful dogs, but they are, unfortunately, in the minority. I've seen some ugly dog fights and uglier people fights. But it's hit or miss. One day, the company both canine and human was fantastic and the next day: aggressive dogs and the humans who don't control them. I recommend driving the extra ten minutes to Point Isabel.

One of the worst small dog parks we have visited. Holes everywhere, park not maintained. Owners sit in groups and seem unhappy when "unfamiliar" dogs arrive. Owners give the impression they own park! Visited three times, decided not to return again

Great dog park! Friendly dog owners make it even better! Fresh water, poop bags and tennis balls are available. Separate fenced areas for large and small dogs. Restrooms for humans too! Bring towels because it can get muddy after the rain.

Turn at the street right by the Fire Station and go to end of road. There is a nice picnic area (Dogs ON-LEASH Here)and two separate fenced areas for the dogs to play. One for small dogs, the other for large dogs. Parking is easy and restrooms are right there. The area for small dogs has a lot of grass and the one for large dogs tends to get muddy after the rain so bring old towels etc to clean your companion. The ground in the larger fenced area is also uneven and sometimes difficult to walk on. Someone has donated lots of plastic chairs so you can sit down while your companion plays with others that are visiting. This seems to be a park where locals tend to gather socially as well. Roxie and I received a nice welcome on our first visit. If you are close, you should definitely give it a try. Again, I do stay away from it in the rainy season. Just too muddy
